On 26/4/2023, Dr. Bui Huu Phu – Chairman of NLT Group had a working session with the leadership of Nha Trang University (NTU) to discuss the implementation of the universitys education digital transformation project and to strengthen cooperation in training, technology transfer, and the deployment of practical projects.
In the digital era, the development of advanced technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), big data analytics, and cloud computing is creating unparalleled opportunities for progress across all areas of society. From the economy to education, from healthcare to the environment, industries are undergoing positive transformation thanks to the power of digital technology. This opens up broad prospects for fields such as information technology, communications, agriculture, construction, and industrial management.
However, in this context, we are facing a significant challenge: a shortage of human resources with the appropriate knowledge and skills to participate in this digital revolution. Data from the National Committee on Digital Transformation indicates that the proportion of human resources in the information technology (IT) sector in Vietnam accounts for only about 1% of the total 51 million workers. This means it is necessary to strengthen training and development of specialized human resources to meet the growing demand for expert personnel in the digital field.
To address this issue, the Ministry of Information and Communications has introduced a strong plan titled Enhancing awareness, training, and developing digital transformation human resources to 2025. The objective of this plan is to train 1,000 digital transformation experts, aiming to build a workforce that is strong and diverse enough to meet the requirements of the modern technology revolution.
Amid the trend of digital transformation across many sectors and fields while high quality human resources remain insufficient each year, to solve that challenge, NLT Group has built and developed the DTL Lab to help students and lecturers receive training, hands on practice, and in depth research in practical professional knowledge on digital transformation that is rapidly taking place nationwide.
This DTL Lab includes many practical high technology modules in the fields of smart transportation, smart lighting, smart agriculture, smart fire prevention and firefighting, smart infrastructure digital management … Through that, students and lecturers will have the opportunity to access, practice, and firmly grasp real world knowledge from actual digital transformation technologies, solutions, and projects, thereby training high quality human resources for society after graduation.
According to the plan, in May, NLT Group will complete the deployment, construction, and handover of the Digital Transformation Practical Training and Research Lab (DTL Lab), a modern space built on the Industry 4.0 technology platform integrating IoT, AI, GIS, and Cloud, researched, developed, and manufactured by NLT Group. We are proud to be a pioneering unit in implementing digital transformation in education for universities and colleges in Vietnam. Currently, we are cooperating with many institutions nationwide to invest in and transfer technology, aiming to enhance the quality of education and training in the country.
We very much hope that through this meeting, we will have the opportunity to coordinate with Nha Trang University (NTU) to open long term cooperation between the two parties, aiming to build a practical training program that reflects enterprise needs and delivers real value to students. We believe that through this cooperation, we can contribute to the comprehensive development of education in Vietnam.
