On the morning of January 31, 2023, NLT Group officially started the project to build a wastewater treatment plant for domestic solid waste landfill in Hoa Phu - Buon Ma Thuot City. The goal of the project is to collect and treat domestic wastewater in the city area. Buon Ma Thuot to improve people's quality of life, enhance community health in the area, contribute to protecting river water sources, and ensuring urban aesthetics and environmental hygiene.
Vietnam currently has about 755 urban areas, the population growth rate and urbanization process are rapid. The problem is that the living environment is being degraded due to uncontrolled waste generation. Waste treatment has become a hot issue, especially household solid waste. Meanwhile, the treatment of urban solid waste is mainly landfilling, the proportion of landfilled waste in large cities such as Hanoi and City. Ho Chi Minh City accounts for 80% - 90%. Therefore, handling the overflow of leachate at Hoa Phu Landfill is necessary to minimize pollution of the surrounding environment, according to the petition of households with land in the affected area.
Leachate is wastewater generated in landfills, formed by the leakage of rainwater into the landfill or by the available moisture of buried waste. Because it is produced from waste, this type of wastewater is very toxic, containing many pollutants such as nitrogen gas, ammonia, heavy metals, germs, disease-causing bacteria, high levels of BOD, COD... causes serious environmental pollution. If it seeps into the soil, it will seriously pollute the underground water source; if it flows into the canal, it will destroy the aquatic environment in that area. Therefore, it is very necessary to thoroughly treat leachate before discharging it into the environment
After studying the actual project and the requirements given by the investor. NLT Group will use the most optimal leachate treatment technology for the plant.
Describe the process of using technology in a leachate wastewater treatment plant
- The leachate undergoes a coarse filtration process to remove large solids before being transferred to the collection tank. Here, the leachate is stabilized before participating in the next treatment process.
- The wastewater is then put into the equalization tank to perform the aeration process. This helps reduce wastewater concentrations and prevents the generation of odors due to anaerobic reactions.
- After passing through the conditioning tank, wastewater is pumped into the physicochemical tank, where primary and secondary physicochemical processes are carried out. This process involves flocculation and flocculation to significantly reduce the concentration of suspended solids, BOD and COD in water.
- At the physicochemical settling tank, the sludge is separated and transported to the landfill.
- Water after separating sludge from the physicochemical settling tank meets the input standards of the RO system, then is filtered under high pressure. This filtration process helps remove most minerals, solids, impurities, bacteria and viruses, leaving only clean water.
- Sludge from the RO system is also sent to the landfill.
- Clean water after the RO process meets the prescribed discharge standards. It can be reused for different purposes. Before use, water can be disinfected if necessary.
Outstanding advantages of NLT Group's smart industrial wastewater treatment system
- Hardware and software are exclusively researched and produced by NLT Group based on IoT, AI, GIS Cloud technology with a simple installation process, easy operation, meeting all customers' needs.
- Monitor and manage the entire system operation process through the website and mobile app, helping customers to adjust system operations remotely.
- Maximum savings on installation costs, system warranty and maintenance, closed wastewater treatment, absolutely no negative impact on the environment.
- Ensure health and safety for the surrounding living environment.
Main components of industrial wastewater treatment systems
- The input wastewater treatment process removes moss, dirt, and sand. The process has the effect of filtering harmful components to the rear filters.
- The data recorded from the sensors will be stored on the Server and displayed directly on the manager's website and mobile app platform.
- Every filtration system uses ultra-small filter pores, capable of removing 99.99% of bacteria and viruses, ensuring the best quality wastewater output.
- All systems are built by NLT Group to be closed, safe and environmentally friendly. NLT Group ensures that the output wastewater has the best quality in accordance with the standards of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
Once completed, the Hoa Phu commune leachate treatment plant will receive and process domestic solid waste and hazardous solid waste (hazardous industrial, domestic hazardous, hazardous medical) for districts, towns and cities in the province. This is also the place to treat domestic and construction solid waste, sludge from septic tanks and sludge from the drainage system; medical solid waste treatment; hazardous industrial solid waste treatment; post-treatment landfill support for other solid waste treatment areas in the city and neighboring districts of the province.
