On the morning of October 26, 2023, Nha Trang University (NTU) held a ceremony to inaugurate the handover and receipt of the Digital Transformation Lab (DTL) training room invested by NLT Group worth over 10 billion VND. This is an activity within the framework of the cooperation program between NTU and the Group aimed at improving and innovating digital education.
Participating in the event, among the guests, there are Mr. Nguyen Van Hien - Director of the Department of Information and Communication of the province; Mr. Le Khiem - Head of the Office of Agriculture and Rural Development of the province, Mr. Bui Huu Phu - Chairman of NLT Group and other relevant partner units.
At NTU, there is Mr. Quach Hoai Nam - Vice Rector of NTU; representatives of leadership of organizations, offices and functional departments; representatives of leaders of departments, faculties, affiliated units, and staff, lecturers, and students of NTU.
DTL room The NLT Group has sponsored the handover to the IT, Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical, Traffic Engineering, Institute of Biotechnology and Environment Technology, Fisheries Institute, for management and operation, serving research and training activities. This laboratory will provide conditions for students to conduct the latest research in various fields of technology, such as electrical, electronics, lighting, IoT systems, integrating smart systems to develop products for Smart Home, Smart City, Smart Farm, to the latest 4.0 technologies.
During the ceremony, Mr. Bui Huu Phu - Chairman of NLT Group, had a few words to say, 'Nha Trang University is one of the largest universities in the country with an input source of high-quality students. Through investing in setting up the DTL Department, NLT Group hopes to work with the university to train high-quality talented generations of students to meet the manpower needs of businesses and society. Through this partnership, I also hope to discover many talents from NTU to train, develop, and recruit high-quality human resources for our Group in the future.'
In addition, he also emphasized: "Technology changes, develops rapidly. Therefore, the way for organizations and businesses to survive in today's digital society is to digitize, and the most important factor for successful digital transformation is people. We must create people with digital qualities, digital skills, and must operate in a digital environment. Digital transformation must be based on continuous innovation, data, and connections. In our role as a business in production, with our own resources, we want to create a simulated environment for students to study, it is a nursery, a support for creative ideas, from there, students have an open space to develop their innovative ideas and apply the knowledge accumulated in school to real life."
Agreeing with the vision of the Group, Assoc. Prof. Quach Hoai Nam - Vice Rector of NTU, expressed hope: 'We, NTU, are very pleased to have a strong connection between the business and the university, witnessing the continuous development of the school and the Group in the field of digital transformation and contributing to society. The DTL Room sponsored by the NLT Group will help students of the Faculty achieve high academic and scientific research results, at the same time students can conduct new research, develop new technologies to address urgent practical issues, renewing the labor market in Vietnam.'
